Drug intelligence / Profile preview
APOHEALTH Osteo Relief Paracetamol is a modified-release formulation of paracetamol (acetaminophen) developed by Arrotex Pharmaceuticals (following the merger of Apotex Australia and Arrow Pharmaceuticals). Each tablet contains 665 mg of paracetamol, designed with a combination of immediate-release and sustained-release layers to provide persistent pain relief for up to 8 hours. It is primarily indicated for the management of persistent pain associated with osteoarthritis, as well as muscle aches, backache, and other mild-to-moderate pain conditions. Paracetamol acts predominantly in the central nervous system to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis by targeting cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing pain and fever without significant peripheral anti-inflammatory effects.
