Overview

APPL2 siRNA is a research-grade gene-silencing reagent designed to knock down the expression of the APPL2 gene (Adaptor Protein, Phosphotyrosine Interacting With PH Domain And Leucine Zipper 2). APPL2 is a multifunctional endocytic adapter protein involved in endocytosis and cellular signaling pathways, including the AKT pathway. In laboratory studies, particularly in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) models, silencing APPL2 with siRNA has been shown to reduce cell survival, inhibit proliferation, and enhance apoptosis. The reagent is primarily sold by laboratory supply companies such as Santa Cruz Biotechnology and MedChemExpress for research use only and is not currently being developed as a clinical therapeutic.
