Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AproDerm is a range of topical emollients developed by Fontus Health for the management of dry skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. The primary formulations contain white soft paraffin (15%) and liquid paraffin (6%) as active ingredients. These substances function as occlusive agents, forming a protective layer on the skin's surface to trap moisture, hydrate the stratum corneum, and shield the skin from environmental irritants. AproDerm products are specifically formulated to be free from common sensitizers such as sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), parabens, fragrances, and artificial colors, making them suitable for patients of all ages, including infants from birth. The range includes cream, gel, and ointment variants to accommodate different patient preferences and severity of skin dryness.
