APT-002S is an investigational RNA therapy being developed by Aptah Bio for the treatment of melanoma. It is based on the company's proprietary RNA WiCo™ (RNA Wide-Control) platform, which is designed to target the U1 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (U1 snRNP). By modulating the activity of U1 snRNP, APT-002S aims to regulate RNA splicing and processing pathways that are frequently dysregulated in oncogenic states. This mechanism is intended to correct or inhibit the production of proteins that drive tumor progression and survival in melanoma cells. The asset is currently in the proof-of-concept stage of development.
