Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AqT-Doxorubicin is a specialized antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) payload developed by AqueaTether Therapeutics, a division of CellMosaic. It utilizes the proprietary AqueaTether (AqT) linker technology, which is a super-hydrophilic scaffold based on sugar alcohols. This technology is designed to improve the water solubility of the hydrophobic cytotoxic agent doxorubicin, allowing for high drug-to-antibody ratios (DAR) of 8 to 15 without causing antibody aggregation or instability. Doxorubicin, the active cytotoxic component, functions as a DNA-binding agent that intercalates into DNA, thereby interfering with replication and transcription processes. This platform asset is intended for use in the development of ADCs for the treatment of various cancers, providing enhanced biocompatibility and stability compared to traditional linker-payload systems.
