Overview

AqT-Exatecan is a topoisomerase I inhibitor payload developed by AqueaTether Therapeutics, a subsidiary or partner of CellMosaic. It consists of the camptothecin derivative exatecan conjugated to the proprietary AqueaTether (AqT) platform. The AqT technology utilizes a highly hydrophilic, monodisperse, and biodegradable polymer tether designed to improve the solubility and conjugation efficiency of hydrophobic payloads like exatecan. As a topoisomerase I inhibitor, the molecule stabilizes the DNA-topoisomerase I cleavable complex, preventing DNA religation and inducing lethal double-strand breaks during DNA replication. AqT-Exatecan is marketed as a platform asset or reagent for biopharmaceutical companies to develop next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) with optimized pharmacokinetic and safety profiles.
