Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AqT-MMAF is a specialized antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) payload consisting of the potent antimitotic agent monomethyl auristatin F (MMAF) conjugated to the proprietary AqueaTether (AqT) linker technology developed by AqueaTether Therapeutics (a spin-off of CellMosaic). MMAF is a synthetic analog of dolastatin 10 that inhibits cell division by blocking the polymerization of tubulin. The AqT technology utilizes a highly hydrophilic, non-immunogenic polymer tether to improve the water solubility and conjugation efficiency of the hydrophobic MMAF payload, potentially enhancing the pharmacokinetic profile and reducing the aggregation of the resulting ADC. It is primarily used as a platform component for the development of novel cancer therapeutics rather than as a standalone drug candidate.
