Overview

Aqueous native ragweed pollen allergen is an allergen extract derived from ragweed pollen, primarily used for allergy immunotherapy to induce tolerance in individuals with ragweed pollen-induced allergic rhinitis, with or without conjunctivitis. The mechanism of action involves modulating the immune response—primarily by promoting immune tolerance—through repeated exposure to the allergen. The principal active component is Amb a 1, the major ragweed pollen allergen, which stimulates immunological changes, notably shifting the response away from IgE-mediated hypersensitivity. This product is designed for sublingual or subcutaneous administration as part of medication regimens to prevent or reduce symptoms related to ragweed pollen allergy; it does not provide immediate symptom relief[2][4].
