Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AR-1105 CF2 is a novel biodegradable sustained-release intravitreal dexamethasone implant designed to provide 6-month durability for treating macular edema due to retinal vein occlusion. It is one of two formulations (CF1 and CF2) evaluated in the ORION-1 Phase 2 clinical trial. The implant contains 340μg of dexamethasone combined with a mixture of three poly D, L-lactic-co-glycolic acid polymers that undergo slow erosion to deliver extended therapy. CF2 demonstrated a longer overall duration of effect compared to CF1, with sustained improvements in vision and reduction in retinal thickening for up to six months.
