AR-401

AR-401 is a fully human monoclonal antibody developed primarily to target Gram-negative bacteria, specifically Acinetobacter baumannii, which is an emerging pathogen known for antibiotic resistance in serious infections such as bacteremia and ventilator-associated pneumonia. The antibody is designed to function as an immunomodulator, binding to outer membrane protein targets on A. baumannii and facilitating immune responses to combat infection. AR-401 is a new molecular entity, currently in preclinical development, and has demonstrated efficacy in patent-protected studies targeting multi-drug resistant bacteria[3][5][13]. The development is led by Aridis Pharmaceuticals, with prior originator Kenta Biotech.
