Overview

AR-ON RIPTAC is a small molecule therapeutic being developed by Flare Therapeutics for the treatment of second-line or later (2L+) metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). It utilizes the RIPTAC (Regulated Induced Proximity Targeting Chimeras) platform, which is designed to target the transcriptionally active form of the androgen receptor (AR-ON). Unlike traditional degraders that eliminate the target protein, RIPTACs are heterobifunctional molecules that recruit a specific effector protein to the target, inducing a stable ternary complex that leads to a localized, selective therapeutic effect, such as cell death, specifically in cells expressing the target. The program is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
