Overview

The AR-v7 program is an early-stage oncology initiative by Eikon Therapeutics targeting the androgen receptor splice variant 7 (AR-v7). AR-v7 is a constitutively active, truncated form of the androgen receptor that lacks the ligand-binding domain, a primary cause of resistance to conventional androgen deprivation therapies in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Eikon utilizes its proprietary single-molecule tracking (SMT) platform and super-resolution microscopy to characterize the dynamic behavior of AR-v7 in live cells, aiming to discover novel small molecules that can disrupt its transcriptional activity or protein stability. The program is currently in the discovery and lead optimization phases.
