Overview

**Arachidonoyl cyclopropylamide** (ACPA) is a **synthetic small molecule** that acts as a **potent and selective agonist of the cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1R)**, with a reported **Ki of 2.2 nM for CB1 and much lower affinity for CB2 (Ki ~700–715 nM)**[3][4][6][7]. It is used primarily as a **research tool** to investigate CB1 signaling pathways, neuropharmacology, and endocannabinoid system function. ACPA induces hypothermia in animal models and modulates cell migration in microglial cells, actions that are attributed to CB1, CB2, and possibly other cannabinoid-related receptors. It is not approved for therapeutic use and is restricted to laboratory research[3][8].
