Overview

ARB-1467 (also known as ARB-001467 and TKM HBV) is a lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation containing three double-stranded small interfering RNAs (siRNAs). It was developed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. The drug targets three distinct and highly conserved sites in the HBV genome to achieve post-transcriptional gene suppression of viral proteins generated from both covalently closed circular DNA (cccDNA) and integrated DNA. Its primary mechanism is RNA interference aimed at reducing all HBV transcripts and lowering all viral antigens, particularly hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg). This approach was intended to inhibit viral replication and potentially reawaken the immune system by reducing HBsAg levels. The drug was administered intravenously using proprietary LNP technology[1][5].
