Overview

**Arbox** is an orally administered dietary supplement containing quebracho tannin extract, chestnut tannin extract, and vitamin B12. It is manufactured and developed by Silvateam as a microbiota-oriented nutraceutical product. The tannin-rich botanical extracts have been investigated for putative antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and intestinal-microbiota-modulating effects. Arbox was evaluated with standard care in the randomized, placebo-controlled TanCOVID study in hospitalized adults with COVID-19; the registered trial was terminated.
