Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**ARC-02** is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Araris Biotech AG using its proprietary AraLinQ linker-conjugation platform. It targets **CD79B** (B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein beta chain), a component of the B-cell receptor complex expressed on B-cells, delivering a cytotoxic payload to induce cell death in malignant B-cells. ARC-02 employs the same anti-CD79B antibody and payload as the approved ADC polatuzumab vedotin (Polivy®) but features Araris' advanced linker technology, which enhances stability (no payload loss detected in preclinical studies), improves efficacy (3-4x higher than Polivy®), and increases tolerability (8x higher in non-human primates). It is designed as a potential first-in-class ADC for relapsed/refractory follicular lymphoma (r/r FL), where no ADCs are currently approved, and best-in-class for r/r diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL).[1][3][11]
