Overview
ARCT-2138 is an investigational self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) quadrivalent seasonal influenza vaccine developed by Arcturus Therapeutics. It utilizes a self-amplifying mRNA platform delivered via lipid nanoparticles, designed to induce robust immunogenicity at lower doses compared to conventional mRNA vaccines. The vaccine encodes antigens from the FDA-recommended influenza strains and is administered as a single intramuscular injection. As of early 2024, ARCT-2138 is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in healthy adults. The technology aims to provide effective protection against influenza for both general and high-risk populations[3][4][5].
