Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ARCT-2303 + influenza vaccine refers to the concomitant administration of ARCT-2303, a self-amplifying mRNA (sa-mRNA) COVID-19 vaccine, with seasonal quadrivalent influenza vaccines. Developed by Arcturus Therapeutics in collaboration with CSL, ARCT-2303 (marketed as KOSTAIVE) encodes the spike glycoprotein of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron XBB.1.5 subvariant. The combination was evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical trial to assess the safety and immunogenicity of simultaneous vaccination. The study utilized age-appropriate influenza vaccines, including non-adjuvanted quadrivalent vaccines for adults aged 18-64 and adjuvanted quadrivalent vaccines for adults aged 65 and older. This co-administration strategy is intended to streamline immunization schedules and provide simultaneous protection against both COVID-19 and seasonal influenza.
