Arctigenin is a lignan extracted from *Arctium lappa* (burdock) with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiviral, antibacterial, and antitumor properties. It inhibits nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB) activation, reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediating oxidative stress pathways.
