ARD-501 is an oral liquid extended-release formulation of an existing, well-tolerated opioid receptor modulating drug. Initially developed by Aardvark Therapeutics, Inc., its development later involved a joint venture between Artisan Therapeutics, Inc. and Tulex Pharmaceuticals, Inc., under which it was also known as ART-501. It is currently in clinical development for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), where it has shown potential in improving ASD-related conditions.
