Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ARD-885 is an orally available small molecule dual inhibitor targeting Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 1 (IRAK1) and Interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 4 (IRAK4). Developed by Artivila Biopharma using an AI-driven drug discovery platform, it is primarily being developed for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. By inhibiting both IRAK1 and IRAK4, ARD-885 blocks key signaling pathways involved in the innate immune response, specifically those mediated by Toll-like receptors (TLRs) and Interleukin-1 receptors (IL-1Rs). Preclinical studies have shown that ARD-885 can significantly reduce joint swelling, inhibit arthritic clinical scores, and improve pathological damage to joint tissues in a dose-dependent manner. The drug has received Investigational New Drug (IND) approval from both the Chinese NMPA and the U.S. FDA and is currently in Phase I clinical trials.
