Arepanrix

**Arepanrix** is GSK's AS03-adjuvanted, egg-derived, inactivated monovalent pandemic influenza vaccine. The currently marketed Canadian formulation, **Arepanrix H5N1**, contains 3.75 micrograms of hemagglutinin from influenza A/H5N1 strain A/American wigeon/South Carolina/22-000345-001/2021 per 0.5 mL dose and is administered intramuscularly after mixing the antigen and AS03 components. It is used for active immunization against disease caused by the vaccine-matched influenza A H5 subtype. Historically, the Arepanrix brand was also used for a distinct AS03-adjuvanted 2009 pandemic H1N1 vaccine; therefore, the unqualified name does not always identify one antigen formulation.
