Overview

Arevirumab-3 is an investigational, pan-lineage **three-monoclonal-antibody cocktail** for treatment and potential post-exposure prophylaxis of Lassa fever. Developed by Tulane University and Zalgen Labs with collaborators including the University of Texas Medical Branch, it combines the broadly neutralizing human antibodies 8.9F, 12.1F, and 37.2D. The antibodies bind distinct, compatible neutralizing epitopes on the Lassa virus surface glycoprotein complex, blocking viral entry while reducing the opportunity for viral escape. In cynomolgus macaques, treatment initiated during advanced disease protected animals from lethal Lassa virus challenge across major viral lineages; the program has been described as pre-IND and preclinical.
