Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Argentine hemorrhagic fever vaccine candidate is a recombinant protein vaccine being developed by SINERGIUM Biotech for the prevention of Argentine Hemorrhagic Fever (AHF). The vaccine is produced using a baculovirus/insect-cell expression system to generate viral antigens intended to trigger a protective immune response against the Junín virus (JUNV), the causative agent of AHF. Currently in the preclinical research stage, the program is part of SINERGIUM's Open Innovation initiative, which involves collaborations with academic institutions to develop a modern recombinant alternative to existing live-attenuated vaccines for this endemic South American viral disease.
