Overview

ArgLong2 is a synthetic long peptide cancer vaccine derived from amino acids 169–206 of human arginase-1 (ARG1), with the sequence ISAKDIVYIGLRDVDPGEHYILKTLGIKYFSMTEVDRL. It is designed to stimulate both CD4+ and CD8+ T cell responses against cells expressing arginase-1, an enzyme highly expressed in immunosuppressive myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) and tumor-associated macrophages within the tumor microenvironment. By targeting ARG1-expressing cells, ArgLong2 aims to modulate immune suppression and enhance anti-tumor immunity. The vaccine has been studied in combination with other peptides such as PD-L1Long1 for use in patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) and various solid tumors[2][3][5]. Clinical trials have demonstrated that ArgLong2 can elicit robust memory T cell responses specific for ARG1 in both healthy donors and cancer patients[3][5].
