ARGX-124

ARGX-124 is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody targeting the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), currently under development by argenx. As a pipeline candidate within argenx's FcRn franchise, it is designed to lower pathogenic IgG antibody levels, offering a potential therapeutic pathway for various autoimmune diseases. ARGX-124 emerged from the company's Immunology Innovation Program (IIP) and represents a distinct approach from their first-generation FcRn blocker, efgartigimod. The drug is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials, where it is being evaluated for safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in healthy adult participants, with initial clinical evaluation expected to conclude by late 2026.
