Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Armolipid Prev is a multi-ingredient nutraceutical combination designed to manage cardiovascular risk by targeting both lipid levels and blood pressure. It contains a patented blend of orthosiphon (for antihypertensive and antidyslipidaemic effects), berberine (for lipid management), red yeast rice (containing monacolin K for cholesterol reduction), policosanol, coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), and folic acid (to reduce homocysteine levels). Developed and studied by researchers at the Federico II University, it is intended for patients with mild-to-moderate dyslipidemia and elevated blood pressure who do not yet meet the criteria for pharmacological intervention according to current guidelines.
