Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Arogyavardhini Vati is a traditional Ayurvedic polyherbal-mineral formulation (Rasaushadhi) used primarily for liver disorders, skin diseases, and metabolic conditions. It contains a complex mixture of minerals, including purified mercury and sulfur (Kajjali), iron (Lauha Bhasma), mica (Abhraka Bhasma), and copper (Tamra Bhasma), combined with herbs such as Triphala, Shilajit, Guggulu, and Katuki. In clinical and preclinical studies, it has demonstrated hepatoprotective, anti-hyperlipidemic, and antioxidant properties. Its mechanism involves the reduction of oxidative stress markers like malondialdehyde (MDA) and the enhancement of endogenous antioxidants like glutathione (GSH), alongside the modulation of lipid profiles by decreasing total cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides while increasing HDL.
