ART101 (also referred to as ART-101) refers to two distinct therapeutic candidates currently in Phase 1 clinical development. It targets and silences the production of **angiotensinogen (AGT)** in the liver, thereby suppressing the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) and aiming to provide a long-acting reduction in blood pressure via subcutaneous administration. The second candidate, originating from the **University of Wisconsin-Madison** and developed by **Archeus Technologies** and **WARF Therapeutics**, is a **small molecule radiopharmaceutical** targeting the **prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)** for the treatment and imaging of advanced **prostate cancer** (mCRPC). This agent is designed for high tumor retention and minimal off-target binding in the salivary glands and kidneys, reducing toxicities like xerostomia. It can be complexed with various radionuclides, including **Indium-111** for diagnostic imaging and **Lutetium-177** or **Actinium-225** for targeted radioligand therapy.
