Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ArtemiCoffee is a decaffeinated coffee product containing a controlled dose of Artemisia annua (sweet annie or sweet wormwood), a plant traditionally used for medicinal purposes. The product is designed to deliver artemisinin, the active compound in Artemisia annua that has shown potential anti-cancer properties. ArtemiCoffee's patent-pending formulation uses properties of coffee to stabilize the active ingredient longer and increase effectiveness. The product is being developed and tested as a maintenance therapy for cancer patients, particularly those with prostate and ovarian cancers.
