ARTICE CELLS

ARTICE CELLS is an allogeneic cell therapy consisting of purified, GMP-manufactured granulocyte concentrates (primarily neutrophil granulocytes) derived from healthy donors. Developed by Artcline GmbH, it is intended for the treatment of sepsis and sepsis-associated immune dysfunction. The therapy is administered extracorporeally using the ARTICE THERAPY PLATFORM, a dialysis-like circuit. In this system, the patient's plasma is separated from the blood and passed through a module containing the donor granulocytes. These cells remove circulating bacterial pathogens and toxins via phagocytosis and neutralization, while simultaneously releasing immune mediators into the plasma. The treated plasma is then recombined with the patient's blood and returned to the body, aiming to reactivate the patient's own dysfunctional immune system and restore homeostasis. This approach provides the benefits of donor immune support without the risks associated with direct systemic infusion of allogeneic white blood cells.
