This artificial skin graft is a tissue-engineered biologic developed by Indonesia University for the treatment of second-degree (grade 2B) and third-degree burns. The product consists of a decellularized amnion bilayer scaffold—a 3D matrix created by removing donor cells from amniotic membranes—which is then seeded with a co-culture of the patient's own (autologous) keratinocytes and amnion epithelial stem cells. It is designed to serve as an alternative to traditional autologous split-thickness skin grafts by providing a regenerative environment that promotes wound healing and skin reconstruction in severe burn injuries.
