Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Artresan is a line of joint health products developed by USP Zdrowie, a leading consumer health company in Poland. The brand encompasses several formulations, including dietary supplements and over-the-counter (OTC) products, designed to support the maintenance of healthy joint cartilage and improve mobility. The primary active ingredient in the standard Artresan formulation is glucosamine sulfate, a naturally occurring amino sugar that acts as a precursor for the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, which are essential for cartilage repair and maintenance. The Artresan Optima variant includes a combination of glucosamine, chondroitin sulfate, and a MEDIflex complex consisting of botanical extracts (ginger, turmeric, rosehip) and Vitamin C to provide anti-inflammatory support and promote collagen production. The Artresan Efekt variant features ApresFlex, a standardized extract of Boswellia serrata that inhibits the 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) enzyme, thereby reducing the production of pro-inflammatory leukotrienes and providing rapid relief from joint discomfort.
