Aruba Aloë Formula F-BC-096 is a topical, medical-grade aloe-based formulation developed through a collaboration between Royal Aruba Aloe and the burn clinic at Ghent University Hospital (University Hospital, Ghent). It is specifically designed for the treatment and hydration of scars, particularly split thickness donor sites following wound closure in burn patients. The formulation aims to improve scar characteristics such as hydration, elasticity, and color while minimizing redness. Although it was the subject of a prospective, randomized, double-blinded controlled clinical trial to evaluate its efficacy against control products, the trial was ultimately withdrawn.
