Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ARVN003 is a proprietary ophthalmic formulation of pilocarpine developed for the pharmacologic treatment of presbyopia. It utilizes the Optejet® microdosing platform, which delivers precise, small-volume doses to improve tolerability and usability compared to traditional eye drops. The mechanism involves pupil constriction (miosis), which increases depth of focus through a small aperture effect and temporarily enhances near vision in adults with presbyopia. ARVN003 is being developed by Arctic Vision under license from Eyenovia for Greater China and South Korea. In clinical trials (notably Phase III in China), it has demonstrated statistically significant improvements in distance-corrected near visual acuity with good tolerability[1][2][3][6][7][8][9].
