AryoSeven

**AryoSeven** is a biosimilar recombinant activated human coagulation factor VIIa (rFVIIa), developed by AryoGen Pharmed in Iran as a cost-effective alternative to NovoSeven. Produced in baby hamster kidney (BHK) cells, it is expressed as a single-chain form and activated to FVIIa during purification. It promotes hemostasis by binding to tissue factor at injury sites, activating factors IX and X to generate thrombin, which activates platelets and converts fibrinogen to fibrin, forming a hemostatic plug. Primarily indicated for bleeding control and prophylaxis in hemophilia A/B with inhibitors, congenital factor VII deficiency, Glanzmann's thrombasthenia, and other coagulopathies; administered intravenously at 20-100 µg/kg every 4-8 hours. Studies confirm comparable safety, efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and bioequivalence to NovoSeven, with rare adverse events like headache, urticaria, and potential thromboembolic risks.
