Overview

AS-1 is a lead small molecule program developed by AcuraStem for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). It is designed to target a novel therapeutic mechanism to halt ALS progression by preventing cell death in patient-derived motor neurons. The program originated from research at the University of Southern California and utilizes AcuraStem's iNeuroRx® technology platform, which combines patient stem cell-derived motor neurons and artificial intelligence to discover and validate drug targets.
