Overview

AS-8112 is a synthetic small molecule that acts as a selective antagonist at dopamine receptor subtypes D2 and D3 and the serotonin receptor 5-HT3. It has demonstrated potent antiemetic effects in animal studies by centrally inhibiting emesis induced by agents such as cisplatin and dopaminergic agonists. The drug was initially developed for potential use in treating nausea and vomiting but did not progress beyond preclinical development[1][2][3][5][7].
