Overview

ASA1-OT20 is an experimental **peptide-drug conjugate** described in preclinical glioblastoma research. It consists of the salicylanilide derivative **ASA1** linked through an oxime bond to an **oligotuftsin carrier peptide** containing four tuftsin repeat units, designed to improve cellular internalization and exploit **neuropilin receptor-mediated** tumor targeting in glioblastoma models. In the reported in vitro work, ASA1-OT20 reduced viability of U87 human glioblastoma cells, and salicylanilide-induced cell death was associated with activation of autophagy. It appears to be a research compound rather than a clinically developed therapeutic asset, with no evidence from the provided context that it has entered formal clinical development.
