Overview

The ASC Speck veterinary vaccine is a preclinical protein subunit vaccine candidate developed by Vaccizone using its proprietary ASC speck technology. This platform utilizes the Apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC), which naturally assembles into large, stable macromolecular complexes known as "specks." By fusing veterinary antigens to these ASC specks, the vaccine creates a highly immunogenic particulate delivery system. The ASC specks function as an intrinsic adjuvant by activating the inflammasome and providing a potent "danger signal" to the innate immune system, thereby enhancing the adaptive immune response (both T-cell and B-cell) against the target pathogen. While the specific veterinary indication has not been disclosed, the platform is designed to improve vaccine efficacy and stability for animal health.
