ASC35

ASC35 is a once-monthly, subcutaneously administered dual peptide agonist targeting both the glucagon-like peptide 1 receptor (GLP-1R) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide receptor (GIPR). Engineered using Ascletis’ AI-assisted structure-based drug design platform and ultra-long-acting technology, ASC35 is approximately four times more potent in vitro than tirzepatide for both GLP-1R and GIPR, demonstrates superior body weight loss efficacy (71% greater than tirzepatide in diet-induced obese mouse models), and exhibits an extended half-life supporting monthly dosing. ASC35 is being developed primarily for obesity, with additional development planned for other cardio-metabolic diseases including diabetes and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH). Clinical trials are anticipated to begin following IND submission in 2026[1].
