Overview

ASC36i is a long-acting amylin receptor agonist peptide developed by Ascletis (歌礼生物科技) for the treatment of obesity. Designed for once-monthly subcutaneous administration, the drug mimics the action of endogenous amylin, a peptide hormone co-secreted with insulin that regulates satiety and glucose metabolism. By activating amylin receptors, ASC36i aims to reduce food intake and promote weight loss with a more convenient dosing schedule than daily or weekly alternatives. As of late 2023, the program is in early-stage clinical development (Phase I).
