**ASC41-A** is a liver-generated, small-molecule **selective thyroid hormone receptor beta agonist** that serves as the active metabolite of the oral prodrug ASC41, a program developed by Ascletis through Gannex Pharma for metabolic liver disease. ASC41 is designed to be converted in the liver by CYP3A4 to ASC41-A, enabling preferential hepatic exposure and activation of THRbeta signaling to reduce hepatic steatosis and improve metabolic and lipid parameters. The program has been investigated as a once-daily oral tablet for **non-alcoholic fatty liver disease**, **non-alcoholic steatohepatitis**, and **metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis**, with clinical data described through Phase 1 for ASC41-A exposure and Phase 2 development of the ASC41 program in biopsy-confirmed NASH or MASH.
