Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ASC52 is an orally bioavailable, once-daily cyclic peptide inhibitor that dual-targets interleukin-17A (IL-17A) and interleukin-17F (IL-17F). Developed by Ascletis Pharma, the drug is designed to treat various immune-mediated inflammatory diseases by blocking the IL-17 signaling pathway, which is a key driver of inflammation in conditions such as psoriasis and ankylosing spondylitis. As a cyclic peptide, ASC52 aims to combine the high potency and selectivity of biologic therapies with the convenience of oral administration, potentially offering a significant advantage over current injectable IL-17 inhibitors. The program is currently in the discovery stage of development.
