Ascendant-221 is a Phase 2 clinical-stage anti-IgE monoclonal antibody being developed for the treatment of allergic diseases, including food allergy. Originally developed by Ascendant Health Sciences Ltd., the drug was licensed to Cue Biopharma in April 2026 for global development and commercialization (excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan). Ascendant-221 is described as a dual-mechanism anti-IgE antibody that targets immunoglobulin E (IgE). It is currently undergoing a Phase 2 study in China, with results expected in the second half of 2026, and plans are in place to initiate a global Phase 2b trial in food allergy following review of the China study data.
