Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ASCOF Lagundi is an over-the-counter herbal medicine developed and manufactured by Pascual Laboratories in the Philippines. It is derived from the leaves of the lagundi plant (*Vitex negundo L.*), which are 100% organically grown on certified farms. Introduced in 1996, it was the first herbal medicine licensed by the Philippine Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD). The product is indicated for the relief of cough associated with common colds and flu, as well as for the treatment of bronchospasm in acute bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, and other bronchopulmonary disorders. It exerts its therapeutic effects through bronchodilator, expectorant, and anti-inflammatory actions, serving as a natural alternative to synthetic cough and asthma medications.
