Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ASCT 01 is an autologous, bone marrow-derived stem cell therapy developed by Lifecells, LLC for the treatment of critical limb ischemia (CLI). The preparation consists of stem cells harvested from the patient's own bone marrow, which are then processed and administered via intra-arterial infusion and intramuscular injection into the affected limb. The therapeutic objective is to stimulate angiogenesis and improve blood perfusion in patients who have exhausted all conventional medical and surgical revascularization options. By promoting the formation of new collateral blood vessels, the therapy aims to alleviate ischemic pain, facilitate the healing of ulcers, and prevent major limb amputation.
