Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ASF-IgY is a polyclonal immunoglobulin Y (IgY) antibody candidate developed by IGY Immune Technologies & Life Sciences for the management of African Swine Fever (ASF) in animal health. The product is derived from the egg yolks of hens immunized with African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV) particles and viral proteins. The mechanism of action involves the binding of these polyclonal antibodies to ASFV particles, thereby neutralizing the virus and preventing its entry into host cells. This approach is intended to provide passive immunity to pigs, offering a potential intervention for a disease that currently lacks effective vaccines or treatments.
