AshwaMAX

AshwaMAX is a standardized botanical extract derived from the roots and leaves of *Withania somnifera* (Ashwagandha), containing high concentrations (up to 4.3% w/w) of the steroidal lactone Withaferin A. In preclinical studies, particularly for glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), AshwaMAX has demonstrated anti-proliferative and anti-cancer properties. Its primary active component, Withaferin A, is known to interact with multiple cellular targets, including vimentin and the proteasome, leading to cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. Research indicates that AshwaMAX may work synergistically with Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) to inhibit glioma cell proliferation and reduce tumor growth in intracranial orthotopic xenograft models.
