Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Asia Biotech Group's dengue fever peptide vaccine is a preclinical synthetic peptide candidate designed to provide broad protection against all four serotypes of the dengue virus (DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4). Developed using the company's proprietary epitope platform, the vaccine targets the viral envelope (E) protein, also known as the coat protein, which is essential for viral attachment and entry into host cells. By utilizing synthetic peptides that represent specific immunogenic epitopes of the E protein, the vaccine aims to induce a robust neutralizing antibody response and T-cell mediated immunity. This approach is intended to overcome the complexities of dengue vaccination, such as the risk of antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE), by focusing the immune response on highly conserved and protective regions of the virus.
